Maruti, Daewoo & HM Tie-up With Rohan Auto For LPG Kit Supply

Ahmedabad, May 1: Ahmedabad-based Rohan Automotive Equipments Private Limited has entered technical tie-ups with leading car manufacturers Maruti, Daewoo Motors and Hindustan Motors for supply and fitting of LPG dual fuel kits in cars.

In a market which is fast overcrowding with dual fuel kit suppliers now that the government has started according them permissions and clearances to market their kits, RAEPL is the first company which has been accorded approval by the Union Ministry of Surface Transport to undertake fitment of LPG kits on four wheeled vehicles.

Speaking to The Financial Express, RAEPL chairman Rajesh Kothari also revealed that the Pune-based Automotive Research Association of India has also issued requisite permission to his company for LPG kit fitment in all carburettor cars with capacities ranging from 600 cc to 1000 cc. It may be mentioned that RAEPL is the sole distributor of the Italy-based BRC Gas Equipment, among the world’s largest manufacturer of conversion kits. Though most of the equipment for the kits is being supplied by the Italian company, Mr Kothari said that some parts were being manufactured locally to suit Indian conditions. “The indigenisation content is about 30 per cent,” he said.
